Operations Manager

Treese Media Group is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the daily programming operations at radio station WEEU. This role involves overseeing and executing various operational and administrative tasks in accordance with company policies and FCC regulations. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, scheduling, and mentoring support staff, organizing station events, developing marketing initiatives, and guiding research projects. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing multimedia strategies, particularly focusing on video and social media content creation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day radio station operations ensuring that programming content and all commercial inventory is properly broadcast
- Proficiently operate all broadcast equipment and able to train employees
- Manages employee scheduling and coordinates employee vacations and absences
- Coordinates directly with Sports Director and collaborates to build and execute local sports programming and content
- Coordinates with Management, Sales, and Traffic to ensure program schedules are prepared correctly and properly synced with AudioVAULT
- Assists with commercial writing, recording and production
- Flexibility to assist with all aspects of broadcast operations when necessary especially during unforeseen staff absences and technical issues
- Help to build, develop, and execute digital marketing platforms and initiatives
- Work with engineering to develop, operate, and train staff on video and other multimedia equipment
- Capable of managing daily updates across websites, apps, and social media platforms
- Skilled in handling digital brand extensions for on-air talent and promoting campaigns via digital channels
- Oversight of content distribution and local content partnerships
- Assists with sales presentations and activities
- Various other responsibilities as specified by management
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in radio management
- Demonstrated proficiency in strategic and tactical planning
- Blend of analytical skills, creativity, and a competitive spirit
- Competence in Microsoft Office, Adobe Audition, PPM Analysis Tool, and diverse social media platforms
- Preferably experienced with AudioVAULT, PD Advantage, and Media Monitors
- Collaborative team player comfortable working with Management, Sales, Promotions, Engineering, Consultants, and Sports departments
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and adhere to schedules
- Strong communication skills
- Availability Nights and Weekends (Required)
Work Experience
- 3+ years of radio station management experience (Required)
- Audio demo showcasing on-air work, interviews, commercials, and production skills
Education
- Preferred 4-year college degree, preferably in Communications
